The McWilliam’s family name stands for a long history of excellence in winemaking, a tradition which stretches back to the earliest days of the Australian wine industry. Since 1877, when founder Samuel McWilliam first planted vines on the banks of the Murray River in New South Wales, the McWilliam family have produced six consecutive generations of winemakers. The wines made by McWilliam’s are more than just benchmark expressions of Australian winemaking. They are wines that draw on more than 140 years of xperience, wines that tell a story of a family’s passion for winemaking. At the helm of this great family business, is Jeff McWilliam. Jeff, is a member of the fifth generation of this pioneering family and is just as passionate about the wines and the people who bring them to life as his inspiring forefathers.
Aromas of ripe stonefruit, peach and yellow nectarine with a hint of ripe melon are supported, by a fine nutty character and subtle background oak. The palate has fresh fruit flavours, followed by a creamy texture and soft finish. Oak is supportive yet restrained and the acidity provides good drive and length on the finish.
